The Mobile Museum of Art will host a Spring Break Art Camp for your budding artist. The week-long camp has half-day and full-day options. Children will do age-appropriate arts and crafts and learn the basics of painting, drawing and printmaking.
Mobile Public Library Spring Fling for Families – Virginia Dillard Smith/Toulminville Branch
Visit the Mobile Public Library’s Virginia Dillard Smith/Toulminville Branch during Spring Fling for Families. The library will host a variety of activities for everyone in the family including movies, stories, games and a Teen Puzzle contest. Teen night is also held on Mondays and Fridays where adolescents gather in the Teen Corner for video games, rap sessions and lab projects.
The Downtown Mobile Alliance will once again host Easter in the Square (Bienville Square) on April 20th. This free family event will have everything from face painting, craft stations, kids karaoke, balloon art and of course an Easter Egg Hunt that begins promptly at noon.
The Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center
A visit to the Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center is the perfect opportunity to get kids off the couch and into a fun learning environment. Currently, the center is hosting the Genghis Khan exhibit that tells the story of the great conqueror, civilizer and innovator.
The weather in Mobile is usually close to perfect during Spring Break which makes it the best time to have lunch outdoors. Head to Bienville Square for The City of Mobile’s Brown Bag Wednesdays for an afternoon of musical entertainment. The Fort Container Park has been open just a few short months and is already a big hit with locals. Refurbished shipping containers have been turned into restaurants, a gift shop and a bar stocked full of brews and cocktails.
