Eight acres of floral exhibits will be showcased on campus in the open air and under large tents. The Southeast Tourism Society has recognized this showcase as one of their Top 20 Events for over 10 years.
American Cancer Society 30th Annual Chili Cook-Off
Find out who can cook up the best chili in the city at the American Cancer Society’s Annual Chili Cook-Off on March 30. The event will be held in Mardi Gras Park with plenty of food, entertainment and fun for the whole family. Proceeds from the event go to funding patient services such as transportation, research and prosthetics.
Who doesn’t love a big bowl of mac n’ cheese? The United Cerebral Palsy of Mobile will host the Mobtown Mac ‘N Cheese Fest on April 6, in Cathedral Square. Gain access to the cheesy goodness an hour early by purchasing a Very Important Cheese ticket for $25.
SouthSounds Music & Arts Festival
Artists and music acts from around the Southeast converge in downtown Mobile for the SouthSounds Music and Arts Festival, April 12-14. A variety of independent and up and coming musical acts will entertain audiences for two days. Some of the music genres include indie, funk, rock, bluegrass, metal, R&B, blues, brass bands and hip hop.
See what a variety of restaurants are cooking up at the annual Taste of Mobile on April 18. Held at the Mobile Convention Center, this event features food and drink selections from restaurants around town. Proceeds from the event will be used towards a scholarship program for culinary graduates.

Well, now you can because on Saturday, April 27, the 65-acre estate will host its 5th annual Wiggle Waggle Rescue Run. Runners and walkers are welcomed to bring their pooches to the fun run/walk that benefits the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF).
Kick off crawfish season at Crawfish for a Cause held at the Grounds on May 11. This fun-filled event benefits the University Hospital’s Arnold Luterman Regional Burn Center. Tickets are available by presale only so get them before they sell out.
