Mobile Bay Bears Games
Take the family out to the ball game to watch the Mobile Bay Bears play. Many home games are still on the schedule. A fun event is planned for nearly every day including Sunday Funday with Bark in the Park, Dollar Dog on Wednesdays, and Wind Creek Friday Night at the Hank with a fireworks display.
LoDa Artwalk
LoDa Artwalk is a family and pet friendly monthly event held on the second Friday of each month in lower section of Dauphin Street. Stop by NoJa for drinks or a quick bite before you stroll the streets of downtown Mobile.
Kids Day – “Under the Big Top”
The Southwest Mobile Chamber of Commerce will host a Kids Day on July 28 at the Tillman’s Corner Community Center. Face painting, a burger eating contest and vendors will be available at this free community event.
“Cinderella – The Musical”
Playhouse in the Park’s original presentation of “Cinderella – The Musical” will run through August 20. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 PM and Sunday matinees at 2:30 PM. Tickets are $16 for adults and $14 for students and seniors. Call 251-602-0630 for reservations.
Water’s Extreme Journey Exhibit at the Gulf Coast Exploreum
Kids will enjoy the educational exhibit of Water’s Extreme Journey at the Gulf Coast Exploreum. The goal of this interactive display is to show the impact our decisions can have on our drinking water and the environment. The exhibit is currently running from now until September 3.
GulfQuest National Maritime Museum the Gulf of Mexico
The GulfQuest National Maritime Museum is home to several activities for the family including a replica of container ship and an interactive map of the Gulf Mexico. There is also a play area for youngsters complete with ship and props.
Five Rivers Delta Resource Center
Just outside of Mobile in Spanish Fort is the Five Rivers Resource Center where children can learn about the wildlife and the waterways that flow into the Mobile Bay. The center has activities such as a learning center, theater, boat tours, kayak rentals, walking trails, and picnic areas. Open 7 days a week, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and admission is free.
Living History Crew Drill at Battleship USS Alabama
On August 18, USS Alabama and USS Drum historical reenactors will be aboard the battleship and submarine to tell visitors the original crewmen’s stories about life during World War II. At 1:00 PM an “airplane attack” will take place with vintage airplanes zooming above the grounds.
