It is officially summer time here is southern Alabama and that means not only is it getting hotter by the day but so are the activities in our area. From music and food to fireworks and art, you will find something for everyone this summer!

LoDa Artwalk
Downtown Mobile’s most popular monthly event heats up during the summer. LoDa Artwalk is held the second Friday of every month in the Lower Dauphin (LoDa) area from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This family-friendly event showcases Mobile’s local art, music and food.
Farmers’ Market
Kick off your summer Saturday mornings with a trip to Cathedral Square Park for Market in the Park. Starting early at 7:30 AM and going until noon, local farmers and makers will have their goods available for you to purchase.
Every Thursday evening through July 19 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM visit downtown Fairhope for the Outdoor Farmer’s Market located behind the Fairhope Public Library on Bancroft Street.
Grand Bay Watermelon Festival July 3-4
Go to Grand Bay July 4th weekend for the Watermelon Festival. Expect a plethora of arts, crafts and food vendors, Open Car Show, and all the free, sliced watermelon you can eat. This event is held July 3 and 4 in Odd Fellows Festival Park in Grand Bay.

The Wharf
The Wharf in Orange Beach offers activities for the whole family to enjoy. Kids Night is held in Palm Plaza every Tuesday evening through July 31 (except for July 3 and August 7). There is a different theme every week and admission is free with prices ranging from $5.00 to $10.00 for activities.
Sparks after Dark is a free fireworks show held every Monday through August 6 (except July 2; held on July 3) on Main Street beginning at 8:45 PM.
Fourth of July Celebrations
On the Fourth of July enjoy Fireworks on the Fantail at the USS Alabama will feature live music from a swing bang, food and fireworks. Tickets are $50 per adult and $25 per child.
The city of Fairhope will hold its annual concert and fireworks celebration at the Fairhope Pier on July 4. The Baldwin Pops Band Independence Concert will start at 7:00 PM in Henry George Park with fireworks beginning at 9:00 PM.
Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores will have a fireworks display beginning at 9:00 PM visible from the Gulf State Park Fishing Pier.
MOB Music Fest July 13 – July 15
Cathedral Square in downtown Mobile comes alive the weekend of July 13, for MOB Music Fest. The 3-day event will feature music from all genres along with poetry, dancers, spoken word, and more. The festival is free to the public with VIP packages available.
Tanger Summer Time Out
Every Thursday night, June 7th through August 30th, enjoy a fun night out with the family at Take the family for a night of fun at Tanger Outlets in Foley. From 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, families can paint rocks, play games and dance the night away to a while a DJ.
